Raise money for Vida with Ed Bram X WBD

We are very pleased to announce that the Edward Bramley Law Society has voted for VIDA Sheffield as our charity of the year! This means that all of our fundraising projects in the 2020/21 academic year will be raising money to help victims of domestic abuse and violence.

Ed Bram Charity Week, kindly sponsored by Womble Bond Dickinson this year, will take place in the week commencing 2nd November. We have some great fundraisers for all of you to get involved with (with some really great prizes). Keep your eyes peeled on our social media to see what we have organised!

Please donate using our Fundraising page to help us raise money for VIDA!

"Vida Sheffield is a voluntary sector organisation offering specialist services and training, and engaging partners to work towards our vision of life without domestic and sexual abuse, and in particular violence against women and girls. We work from a gendered perspective, as abuse is overwhelmingly perpetrated by men, and is usually targeted at women and girls.

Vida’s focus is now very much on making our therapeutic services more accessible to women and girls from a broader range of ages, backgrounds and abilities, supporting them to recover and move on with their lives, while building resilience to future harm for themselves and their children. Our specialist training is designed to raise awareness of the mental health impacts of abuse, and to promote trauma informed working. We encourage our partners to take a needs-led, strengths based approach to working with survivors of abuse, to achieve change that lasts.

We also come together with other specialist women’s organisations and local refuges in the South Yorkshire VAWG Network, to support each other’s work and form a strong collective voice in strategic work and campaigns to tackle violence against women and girls county-wide.

Vida’s work has never been just about delivering services – we are also committed to raising awareness and campaigning to reduce the need for those services!"
